Meteorology Technician

Elektroplus SIA is hiring a Meteorology Technician for its team in Jūrmala, LV. This is a permanent full-time position with a clear scope, measurable expectations and structured onboarding.

About the role

Meteorology technicians collect large amounts of meteorological information for weather information users such as aviation companies or meteorological institutions. They operate specialised measuring instruments to make accurate weather predictions and report their observations. Meteorology technicians assist meteorologists in their scientific operations.

• Apply Scientific Methods.
• Apply Statistical Analysis Techniques.
• Assist Scientific Research.
• Calibrate Optical Instruments.
• Carry Out Meteorological Research.
• Climatology.
• Keep accurate records of completed work, issues and follow-up actions.
• Cooperate with colleagues and supervisors to meet quality, safety and delivery standards.

What we are looking for

• At least 2 year(s) of relevant professional experience.
• Practical knowledge of the tools, procedures and standards used in this occupation.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and communicate clearly.
• Reliable attendance, attention to detail and a professional approach.
• Willingness to follow company procedures and complete role-specific training where required.
